Food saftey article

Today our classwas learning food saftey article here are some fact about food saftey

Key facts. Food safety, nutrition and food security are inextricably linked. An estimated 600 million – almost 1 in 10 people in the world – fall ill after eating contaminated food and 420 000 die every year, resulting in the loss of 33 million healthy life years (DALYs).

Food safety is about handling, storing and preparing food to prevent infection and help to make sure that our food keeps enough nutrients for us to have a healthy diet.
The importance of food saftey is each year, millions of Americans suffer — and thousands die — from foodborne illnesses. This is a preventable problem that is damaging to both individuals and the economy, but many of these illnesses can be prevented. Here is my work Fern Food Safety Article

Next we got there and lined up infront of the person who was talking in front then we said a Kara kia and then started playing LS2 went first and VS Pt England Then it was our turn I didn’t know who we were VS.We had multiple games and I got confused.

Lastly, This was our last game VS Ruapotaka we lose but it was ok we left and went on the bus back to school and went into the hall at school and started to pack up and leave to our classroom.

I enjoyed Ki O Rahi it was really cool and fun

First Miss Tele’a explained it.

Then we had to go on our chromebooks and do 3 sentence’s

Second we think of a sentence like a (example) Although my friends begged me, I chose not to go to the reunion.

Lastly a independent clause cannot stand by itself but a dependent clause can.

What I enjoyed about complex sentence was detailing the background

  • Capacity is the maximum amount that something can contain.
  • Capacity means the ability to use and understand information to make a decision, and communicate any decision made.
  • the maximum amount or number that can be contained or accommodated

Food Graphs

In Inquiry, we learnt about the 5 food groups which are vegetable, fruit, grains, protein and dairy. Me and Lila did a DLO to show what we learnt about it. Something I found interesting was broccoli has more vitamins than meat.

Ponamu ponamu

In Reading one task we have been doing is visualising.  When you visualise, you have to read the text and make a mental picture of what you have read.  We read the book Pounamu Pounamu by Witi Ihimaera.  After we read the book we had to draw a picture in the story.  The funny part I heard in the book is that Granny has one eye on the cards and her other eye rolls around and looks at Miss Heta’s cards.
